Cuisinart FCT19-14 French Classic Tri-Ply Stainless 1-Quart Saucepan with Cover

Nicest Pots You Can Buy
I am completely happy with my purchase of these *Made in France* Cuisinart French Classic Tri Ply (that's why the model name contains letters "FCT").

I spent a lot of time studying various pot types and brands and models, and believe dollar-for-dollar, these are the BEST.

For some reason, they're hard to find. There are some pots which are more expensive (but no better). There are MANY pots that are less expensive, but of _significantly_ lower quality, made in China, or with just a "disc" on the bottom.

At this stage in my life, I decided not to cook in Aluminum or Teflon any longer. That's what began my search. All of my cookware is now Stainless Steel, or Cast Iron.

I specifically wanted: Stainless Steel, Aluminum-clad sides, NOT disc bottom, Tri-Ply, NOT China. My kind advice is, when looking for pots, make sure the model number contains "FCT."

LOVE the French Classic line!
I purchased this 1-quart saucepan as an addition to my 10-piece Cuisinart French Classic cookware set. The quality is superb, with thick walls, a stainless form-fitting cover, and a nice balance in the hand with a contoured handle. It's on the heavy side, but I like a substantial pan, it feels durable and I don't doubt this will last a lifetime. It heats quickly and cooks evenly with less heat because of the aluminum core.

My only (minor) complaint is the large rivets for the handle on the inside of the pot. They are a little hard to clean up, but that doesn't affect my overall love of the pot.

I am not sure why this little saucepan wasn't included in the main cookware set, I think a small pot is essential for sauces or smaller amounts of food. I highly recommend this 1-qt saucepan to round out the 10-piece set.

Not TOO little...
When I saw the 2-quart saucepan that came with the set, I was concerned that this 1-quart would be tiny! But it isn't really. It's adorable, and I'm sure it will be quite useful. 5.75" diameter x 2.625" deep, with a 7" long handle.
